Behind the press
I'm Mary Olgeirsson, the one-woman team behind Poppy Press Studio: designer, printer, and inconsistent content creator.
Mama by day and printer by naptime, my husband and I call Kalamazoo, Michigan home. We have a rambunctious toddler, a sweet baby girl, two crazy cats and a little garden overrun with strawberries. When I’m not dreaming about letterpress, you can find me reading or baking something sweet!
I was drawn to letterpress printing because it allows me to work with my hands and get a bit messy. I can’t get enough of the smell of the ink, the sounds of the press. The process of creating is just as beautiful as the result.
